LaSalle Bank was building out a new banking center interior in the heart of Chicago’s Greektown neighborhood. The plans left an area in the center of the branch to allow for the design and construction of a new concept in banking convenience.
Working with the architectural firm, we designed a round, suspended 360º sign that encircled an existing support column. The area beneath the sign featured an ATM, Coin Center, quick deposit box, and check writing area, all with customized, branded graphics. Adjacent to the center column area, was a features banking workstation area, allowing customers to relax in semi-private cubicles and bank online.
It was important to design this area saturated with well-designed and tastefully branded automated machines. So many off-the-shelf solutions to automation are available from manufacturers such as DeLaRue, NCR, Diebold, etc., but it’s important not to look as if you’ve just bought a vending machine and stuck a logo on it. It gives your customers the feeling your institution is solid and established, and not just a rented building that the purchasing manager filled up with automated equipment.
An added bonus is the overall feeling of a cohesive brand—something that ties into your other marketing efforts and name recognition. Think of it as a billboard for your institution. And one that is viewed by the consumer more closely than most of your other marketing efforts.
